The 'Rickmer Rickmers' was built in Bremerhaven, Germany, in 1896. During a long career she sailed under several names and nationalities (and won the Tall Ships Race in 1958, whilst named 'Sagres'). In 1983 she was repatriated to her native country and, restored to her original identity, is now one of the most striking of Hamburg's 'museum ships', Hamburg, Germany
